The LIT Search consortium will convene for its launch conference at KU Leuven in Antwerp on 6 and 7 May 2014, where the 15 co-beneficiaries* and 3 associate partners will be informed about administrative issues of the LIT Search project. At this conference, they will also discuss the modus operandi to be followed by the different consortium partners in order to reach the project objective within the 2-year time frame. In addition to linking the registers of the consortium partners to create a pilot database of legal interpreters and translators, the LIT Search partners will also develop a model scenario for national registers (admission criteria, practical issues of effectively managing a LIT register, etc.) which may assist countries to further develop their own registers or to commence activities on setting up a register. Please contact the EULITA Secretariat (info@eulita.eu) for more details on the LIT Search launch conference.
