Spanish version of the Final Report of ImPLI
A Spanish version of the Final Report of the ImPLI (Improving Police and Legal Interpreting) project is now available under "European Projects" in the "LIT materials" section.
Preliminary Programme of Conference “New Tasks for Legal Interpreters and Translators in the Enlarged Europe” now available under “Upcoming events”
An update of the preliminary programme, the Call for Papers and the registration form (in the four conference languages English, German, Russian and Polish) as well as hotel information can now be found in the left-hand margin of the EULITA website under "Upcoming events".
Deadline for transposition of EU Directive 2010/64 expired
The 28 EU member states had three – instead of the usual two – years to transpose Directive 2010/64 on the right to interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings into national law. However, according to the most recent information only 8 countries have communicated their national execution measures, while 1 country reported that it did not see any need to adopt any such measures.
