LEGAL TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETING COUNTRY FACTSHEET
In the spring of 2020 EULITA approached its members, i.e. associations of legal translators and interpreters, with a request for information on certain aspects of legal translation and interpreting in the their respective countries. The questionnaire covered aspects such as organisation of legal translation and interpreting in the given country, including questions on legislative frameworks of the profession, official requirements, admission criteria to practise the profession, etc., LIT registers, tendering of LIT services, requirements regarding training and continuous professional development, LIT associations in the given country, Codes of Ethics, etc. Below you will find the country reports provided by EULITA members. We hope it will be a useful source of reference, information and data for EU authorities, LIT associations and other stakeholders.
