In memoriam: René Haeseryn
René Haeseryn, long-time Secretary General and Honorary Advisor of FIT (International Federation of Translators) as well as editor of “Babel”, FIT’s scientific publication, died a few weeks ago. Although high in his eighties, he had continued to follow FIT developments actively up to his sudden death. He will be remembered by the entire FIT family and beyond for his indefatigable commitment to FIT, which he had seen develop from its early beginnings well into the new millennium.
